Currently, we are conducting a capital campaign to raise funds for a new long-term care center that will be attached to our hospital. Our current care center was built in 1956 for a more ambulatory resident. The settling of the building is structurally challenging and the cost to maintain the building is rising. In the past 50 years medical technologies and senior living expectations have changed. The new design will provide maximum comfort in a home-style setting.

The It's More Than Walls and Windows ... It's Home campaign is counting on the fine people of Brule, Buffalo and Lyman Counties to help provide assistance to this project. Current estimates for the project are $5.1 million. Sanford Health has committed at least $3.6 million to the project and so far we have received over $700,000 in gifts and pledges from area families, businesses and individuals.

For more information on this campaign or to make a donation, contact Gloria Priebe at 605-234-7217.
