Sanford Medical Center Chamberlain encourages all student athletes to get their school physical done now before the sports season begins. While most student athletes appear to be quite healthy, sometimes a previously unknown ailment such as a heart murmur or lung problem can be detected during a routine sports physical. This early detection can potentially prevent a serious health issue.
Sports physicals will be available at Sanford Clinic Chamberlain, Sanford Clinic Kennebec and the Kimball Medical Clinic for the special price of $15 during the week of Aug 2 – 6. All proceeds from the exams on those days will be donated back to the student’s school athletic program. The charge for sports physicals given on other days will be $35.
Students under age 18 must bring along a pre-participation form completed that has been signed by their parent or guardian before the exam is given. Advance appointments must be made.
